I got tired of the dodgy python fcgi implementation of dreamhost. The websites were down half of the time and the server full of python zombie process. I just moved to a VPS solution rimuhost, 50 Aus$ a month, not that cheap but hey thats the price for freedom. Migrating django projects wasnt problematic and it took me day to complete including the dns rebinding from dreamhost to rimuhosting nameservers.

linode (www.linode.com) has been very nice to me, and their plans just grow and grow and grow... I kissed "hosting" goodbye and have not looked back.
