Movie Night - Jeux d'Enfants

200px-Love_Me_If_You_Dare_movie

The game begins when Julien and Sophie are children, but as they grow older they intensify and become more twisted and dangerous. Although they are in love with each other, the game of dare later dictates their future, and the dare even goes as far as hurting and tricking each other. (Wikipedia).

Movie Night - La Cité De La Peur

images-1

Probably a classic of the french comedy movies.

La Cité de la peur, or Le film de Les Nuls, is a French comedy film written by the comedy group Les Nuls and directed by Alain Berbérian in 1994. The movies parodies big budget American films (Basic Instinct, Pretty Woman and the Terminator, among others, are directly spoofed) and relies heavily on puns and wordplay, which makes it somewhat inaccessible for non-French speakers. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Cité_de_la_peur)

Ok so Wikipedia says that it's inaccessible for non-french speakers... Well, we'll see :)

French Film Festival, Movie tickets for "What If"

notre_univers_impitoyable,0

Hi guys!

This is just a reminder that we need to know who is coming FOR SURE on friday so that we can reserve tickets for you. I think we're only buying 20 tickets (there is a chance we might buy more) so we'll reserve those tickets especially for people who tell us that they are definitely coming to watch the movie.

So please send us a message on facebook or email (ufm.mail@gmail.com) confirming you are coming and don't forget to mention your name. NO "MAYBES"... if we hold a ticket for you and you don't come then that would be inconsiderate to those people who actually want a ticket.

Also, don't forget to bring your Student Card with your UFM sticker on it!

Thank you and hope to see you there :)

A bientot!

We Are Back

logo ufm
Hi everyone!

Welcome to the new year of uni, which means a whole new year for the UFM! I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and is ready to get back to class… and to the UFM events of course.

The UFM is going to see changes this year and we promise to deliver new and exciting events. Our first and most important change involves our executive members. We’ve said goodbye to our vice-president Alexis who will be replaced by Sandrine. Alexis has gone off to Taiwan on exchange so we wish him the best of luck on his journey. We’ve also welcomed three new executive members: Kim is the new Treasurer, Guillaume the Secretary and I, Nina, the Communication Director.

We’ve come back from the break completely organised and are planning awesome new events which will soon be revealed ;) I can assure you that this year will be even more proactive, efficient and fun than last year! So make sure you come visit our stall during O-Week at the Central Courtyard between the 23rd and 26th of February to sign up again! You’ll also be able to find out about we have planned for you this semester.
We hope to see you all during O-Week :)

A bientot!
